Yes I have, I set the engage temp to 250F (a lower temp than normal to force it to engage), once my truck hit 250F it limited the throttle to 40% until it went down to 240F, once it went down it disengaged and allowed normal use to resume. You can set the throttle limiter to 0%, 20%, 40%, 60%...
About 2 weeks ago I ordered a Venom Failsafe & Smart Temp, it finally made it's way to Japan and onto my Savage. Here's a quick write up =)
I found the failsafe on eBay and got it for 29.99 shipped. I know thats a bit more than other failsafes on the eBay but for what it does I figured it was...

its cool, i had the X one's with the little cutaway in my spare parts drawer. i put em in and bam, no problems! too bad i blew yet another rear differential lol
funny thing is, with only front wheel drive my savvy still smokes T-Maxx's lol

yea i switched from the old style to the X. the rear driveshaft clears the engine plate just fine, and when i broke it down the transmission was fine. Are X rear driveshafts a different length than from regular Savage shafts?
Well, had a nice wreck yesterday and bent the TVP's all to hell. So I decided to slap on my X TVP's on vs the regular Savage TVP's. I got it all back together but now it doesnt roll like it should. There is a TON of resistance, like the brakes are on but they arent. It's smooth, no clicking or...
Alright, i finally got the time to tear into that tranny and it looks like it was the 1 way bearing. I replaced it with the one from my spare tranny and now it's running great! Thanks for the help guys =D
yea i pulled them all the way out and checked em, they where fine. both on the tranny and on the diff. are there any grubs inside the tranny i should check? i just popped it open and looked for chipped or worn teeth on the gears.
well I'm officially perplexed. its not the tranny, everything inside was good. the grub screws are in place and tight, the rear diff is perfect inside and out. i'm going to put in a new diff and my other tranny just for grins. we'll see how that goes
thanks for the help guys, i'll let you know...
