    Few pics of my Baja

It was my firewall, I shut it down now I can see, thanks. That's killer man, I like it, still debating on wether to buy a Baja or not, I love the way they sound and would like to have one just so I can modify it, the engine particulary.

    Charging Port

I have a BEC style connector on the end of a dynamite 1400 mah receiver pack and the on-off switch from the 3PM 2.4GHz. What I want to do is find a way to use the charge port because I'm tired of removing the cover. This method got old quick. I am also using the LCD Prophet Plus charger, to...

    Break In (Idle Question)

K 4.6 break in, the first tank of fuel on the stand idling, wheels not turning. 2nd tank, as the manual says, on stand, idling, make sure wheels aren't turning, open to full throttle every now and then to 'clear the engine'. Problem is this time I can't get the wheels to stop turning for...

Spur Gear and Clutch Bell Fitment

It seems as if I need to have my flywheel farther back, but it doesn't tighten up anymore. Ideas on this?http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k319/mc_f/SavageXSS122207009.jpg

    Front Alignment

Just built X SS and noticed that my front wheels aren't quite right. If I align one front with the rear, the other front is kicked out. My steering rods are 44mm. I have disassembled and reassembled this to the point where I just can't get it. What gives? Thanks

Spur Gear and Clutch Bell Fitment

How do you shim behind the flywheel to move it forward? I don't see how the collet could take it. (ie the diameter of the shim versus crushing the shim (distorting))

Spur Gear and Clutch Bell Fitment

I must say, this is the best. Answers when you need 'em. This is what is going to keep me hooked into the hobby. (was flying airplanes 10 years ago and missed the radio control hobbies) This Savage X SS is the first I've ever owned, been taking pictures as I build. Been making the mods as I...

Spur Gear and Clutch Bell Fitment

Thanks, exactly what I wanted. I have a black metal bushing and not a brass bushing though. (X SS) But my gears are where yours are, which is what I was concerned with.

Spur Gear and Clutch Bell Fitment

I would like pictures of the spur gear and the clutch bell already on the truck as I want to know if mine is right or not. I'd assume the clutch bell gear would be centered in the spur gear but it's not. I even took the clutch back out and re-checked my flywheel tightness. Thanks.

    Upper arm brace

Seen it quite a few times before, however, this being my first time, I believe I've worn out the shock cap o-rings as many times as I've tried to get all to rebound approximately 1/4 shock length. I just got done with them and they are finished. HPI sent me back this so I thought I'd share just...

    Upper arm brace

Yep, that would be the one. Thanks. (and as we speak I am re-doing my shocks as I had them rebounding back out 3/4 the length of the rod) Shouldn't it rebound after compression about a 1/4 length? I actually have the caps off and the shock bodies in a toothbrush holder which seems to hold them...

    Servos

Thanks, you've been helpful resolving some of my issues recently.

    Servos

When you install the steering servo, the manual says to run the servo lead through the hole in the radio box. Do you have pictures of yours? Anybody have radio box and servo pictures? Thanks.

    Servos

I don't see how you are using the brass sleeves. The screws don't fit. What gives? And... the rubber sits the servo up a tad bit higher and that doesn't let me get the rubber grommet for the steering servo lead to go through the hole in the box. Thanks
