Is the upper arm brace supposed to be loose?

You mean the small, metal, purple, dogbone shaped piece? If that is what your talking about then yes, it does rattle around some.

Yep, that would be the one. Thanks. (and as we speak I am re-doing my shocks as I had them rebounding back out 3/4 the length of the rod) Shouldn't it rebound after compression about a 1/4 length? I actually have the caps off and the shock bodies in a toothbrush holder which seems to hold them fine. Thanks again.

Seen it quite a few times before, however, this being my first time, I believe I've worn out the shock cap o-rings as many times as I've tried to get all to rebound approximately 1/4 shock length. I just got done with them and they are finished. HPI sent me back this so I thought I'd share just in case anybody else wanted a definitive answer.

FROM HPI:
"Typically for a good all around shock you want it to pop back out a quarter of the way back out."

Thanks again.

My guess would be that you need to bleed more air out of the shocks.

I usually like mine to pop back out only between a 1/4" and 1/2". Which I guess when you think about it 1/2" would be about 1/4 of the stroke. I usually tend to get them to pop only 1/4" thought.
