    e-savage robot project

Wow! love your Frankenstein work so far. That kind of width I'd expect duboling up on big bores. Just to keep it close, lst2 shocks perhaps . Don't give up! Looks wild, can't wait to see vids of it running!!

    Integy suspension

A arms are a part that takes a lot of abuse. You need some give and flex there. I own a set of Integy arms that I no longer use. Heavy, and you will destroy hinge pins and bulkheads. Rpm is a better alternative for a-arm upgrades. Don't get me wrong, they look sweet. But you want durability...

    Broken Rear Diff

Check the little grub screws that hold the drive cup to your transmission and one at your diff. It's common that they back out. If so replace and loc-tite

Problem not shifting out of 1st gear

First off you need to make sure your engine is fully broke in, then it needs to be tuned perfect or close to. If your still not getting a shift, refer to your manual on adjusting shift points. If your sure its second your not getting and not third you'll have to take the top section of the...

Finally got a buddy for my savage

I found out why it's not lining up. Compared the original 25 TVP's, up to the x TVP's I have on it now. The x TVP's mount the engine and tranny considerably lower than the 25 plates do. Also the x bulkheads have the joint post brace on the lower of the two holes on the TVP's. The 25 bulks use...

Finally got a buddy for my savage

Well finally got this old girl back together, few cheap servos, slider kit, d8t tank and a battery box I think I'm completed under $50 So I got it fueled up, new glow plug but when I went to put my starter wand in, no go. Not even close to lining up. I guess the Roto back plate on the f4.6 I had...

    Steering servo

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but acording to the hitec site, 645mg has 133oz/inch of torque. Not to say that's not enough, but might be a bit shy to turn big tires while sitting still.

    Steering servo

I just bought one of these to put in my old 25 rebuild. Claims to have 17kg of torque. Will walk the truck right off the table with 40 series tires on it. Can't say how long it will last or its durability. Just installed it the other day. But I'm very impressed with the torque for $12

    Fluids?

    Nope

    Fluids?

Oh yea some guys run 100k plus in their diffs. Makes it act like a posi without actually locking the diff
  12. Bauerdog

    Fluids?

I run 10k in my diffs, but I want to try some way heavier stuff to help to fight off torque steer. I like 40w in my big bores. With my older 8 shock set up I prefer 30w. It's all personal preference, terrain and trail and error. Sounds like your in the ball park though

Hpi big bore shock caps busted once again

They are Integy T6710. not sure if the caps would fit on the Hpi bodies. They come as a kit anyway, don't think you can get the caps alone.

Hpi big bore shock caps busted once again

I had no luck finding hellfire caps off my big bores either. Got these from Integy comes with caps, threaded bodies and 3 different sets of springs. Uses all the internals from your big bores. I've given them a pretty good beating so far with no troubles at all.

What did you do to your HPI Savage today?

Right on, I was unaware that any models came with machined gears. Just wanted to make sure he didn't get the sintered.

What did you do to your HPI Savage today?

Ya I think 'bulletproof' refers to the 29/9 tooth count. They come in both machined and sintered gear sets. Opposed to the old 'non-bulletproof' 43/13 tooth gear sets on older model trucks.

What did you do to your HPI Savage today?

if you mashed your ring gear too, spend the extra bucks and get the machined set

Help with old school crystal radio

Right on thanks, just need something to keep the tires spinning. Summer is way too short up here to wait a month for a new radio

Help with old school crystal radio

so the other day my radio/receiver quit on me, spektrum 3.0. I kind of expected it, it's old and I got it used. I've ordered a fly sky unit, but coming from china I know I'll be a few weeks waiting. So I'm left with an old crystal tx/rx setup that came with the 25 I'm currently rebuilding. The...
