    I saw an interview with TRDs spokesman the 1st year Toyota raced in NASCAR. They basicly tore down Ford, Chevy, and Dodge engines and took the best features from all of them and incorperated them in their design. Toyota has never been inventive. Theye into perfecting.

    Yes the spring is in your motor now. just reuse putting it right in the center hole of the 12mm hex.

    The hpi s25 rotostart and a 12mm wheel hex to act as a spacer in between to keep the shaft from walking. I use a tc3 hex. Just stick it in the backplate as a spacer and use the spring.     It's really a two piece shaft that is made together. It's two different metals and just doesn't stand up to the torque of today's engines.
