Looks good rcnut. My thoughts on the the nose dive issue when jumpy is the fact that it's only 2wd and not 4wd. You don't have the front wheels being powered to help control level flight. Just my thoughts on it.
I don't think the leather would make a great seal to be honest. Best bet to try and find some online. I do think I seen some recently when lookin for other parts for my XS.
Looks good. I had planned on gettin either a 5B or a 5T at one point. But, after seein how they jump, 9 times out of 10 they lawn dart to the ground. So, I changed my mind.
Like guinness said, those are older bulkheads which require more work to get open. Plus, they add unwanted weight, unless you're building a puller. Just some things to consider.
Not sure. The X style easy access bulks that I have have the alignment tab (I checked) which I was wrong about the upper mounting screw. It actually goes in the lower of the 2 holes.
Looks like most of your questions have been answered so far, but here's the answer for the 2 screws. Screw Z613 goes through the top of the 2 holes in the TVP into the bulkhead. Screw Z632 goes through the hole at the bottom of the TVP into cross brace # 102272. Some TVPs have a second hole @...
Hey all. Went to my LHS last weekend, but haven't had time to post this yet. I went to check it out cuz I haven't been there for a couple yrs and to ask a couple questions. One question in particular was about Byron's fuel. The guy who worked and has been there since they opened and actually...
You wanting the stock XL body in particular or will any do? If any will do, geta body made for 1/10th scale short course trucks. They fit extended savages really well.
Hey Jam, did you do any more mods and any updates on performance of your TF2? I'm lookin at gettin a crawler in the future, hopefully by the end of the yr. Gettin my research done in the meantime while I wait for the $$ to be saved up. There's a in the build process rc park where I live. Lots of...
What type of brakes are they? Are the disk SS or are they the red fiber ones? If they are the SS, I'd suggest changing them out for the red fiber ones.
Looks like lokky & X got you taken care of. But, you should be able to access it from the bottom if you turn the truck upside down or stand it up on end with the front sittin on your work bench/surface/table. It will be a little more challenging that way, but is possible to get worked on.
Not sure. But like I said, mine haven't leaked since I rebuilt them 5-6+ yrs ago. And my garage sees temps in the 110-120° degree range during the summer and 30-40° degree temps in the 3-4 months short winter season. And with the hotter temps in my garage, every liquid becomes a little thinner...
