Ok so I went round and round with this my self, there is suppose to be a adapter for this that lrp offers but I was unable to find it in the US. A Rotostart backplate for a hpi "F" mill will match up with the lrp nut. I had to drill and tap out the back plate to accept the roto back plate...
Redneck I would have to agree with you on this, Smiley and I had this same type of issue with his mill. We changed out the carb. with one he had on another mill and was able to get it running from their with some tuning.

I am sure that I will be corrected if I am incorrect, but you need a starter box that turns the fly wheel to start the mill, and that application is generally for truggys and will not work with a Savage. You can use a LRP ZR.30 Spec 2 with a Savage that is pull start, and the rpms top around...
I would go with the LRP Z.28R Spec 3 over the .30. They are both good mills but I think that a .28 will be better on fuel than the .30 and will run just as fast as if not faster than bigger mills. Just my 2 cents though. :beer:
