I got them on eBay.com, seller 'bizarrehobbies" item no. 290245243083 (2 sets). I'm in the UK and only bought them last wednesday so I don't think I'll have them here until end of next week though, but I'll post pics once I have them. They aren't super-cheap so hopefully they'll be fine and...
Hi guys, just after a bit of advice here... which engine mount is the best for the Savage?
I'm building my 'ultimate truck' at the mo, not sure if it is worth spending the extra on a cooling mount (it's going on the 1 piece LCG IRC engine plate).
Is the 5.9XL mount beefier than the standard...
I think those covers might help retain the cup at the bottom too, as the tuck between the two pieces?
I ended up ordering a hellfire shock 'dress-up' kit, - aluminium cups, caps and shaft ring/seal bit from the bottom of the shock body. I got it as I thought the plastic botttom cups looked a...
If you are used to fiddling around around with rc cars, they are not hard at all.

Thanks for the replies.

I put a 0.2mm shim behind each bearing on either end of the input shaft where they sit in the case, brought the play down to a much more satisfactory level.
I also put smaller shims either side of the gearing on the output shaft at the bottom of the case to address the same thing there.
Mine have made it across the Atlantic now, thank you SMF, off to pick up some oil today - could any body tell me how much was required to fill the four shocks? 1 bottle enough or just over? 20wt about right for a basher?
Thanks
Hi everyone, another first-time poster here.
I have been lurking for a couple of months since I picked up a 'well-loved' Savage... it needed some TLC... now I have 2 complete trucks worth of parts and am just waiting on a few sets of diff shims before they get rebuilt! Funny how much you pick...
