I tried different plugs as well, but I run the same plugs on both of my X's and they run perfect.
At the stock setting I could tell it was running really rich b\c of the performance. When I turned the HSN it improved a slight amount, but it performed like it was at the stock setting...

What exactly do you mean by tightening up the diffs? Shimming?

from stock setting I had turned the HSN in 2 turns in and it was at about 290f.
The MSN is a little in from flush, maybe 1/12. I tried your idea of lining up the pin holes on the MSN...
So I started from scratch again and I continue to get the same results.
from 200f - 290f the results:
there is a considerable lack of perfromance and throttle response. At full throttle it runs like it is tuned extremely rich and it cannot get any more performance. But the truck idles...
sorry guys forgot to mention that I have seen the previous owner run the truck several times. He pretty much got fed up with it b/c it runs like crap.

Banging my head against the wall with trying to tune an XL I got for free.
Would it benefit me in anyway if I tried going through the break-in process again? I do not know if the truck was broken in properly or broken in at all.

ya i figured the traction was much better on the grass thats why I was able to get the front into the air. Ill try adjusting my shift point and see how that goes
so after following mikes recommendations, I still cannot get the front off the ground on the road. But, if i pull the savage onto the grass I cant keep the front on the ground.
If I turn the second gear screw all the way in I can pull wheelies on the road no problem. Any ideas why?
