I just installed a Hitec 7955tg titanium gear servo and ever since my throttle servo is really jumpy. If i pick the front end off the ground and set it back down it mostly stops jumping but as soon as I turn the wheels it starts again. If i unplug the new steering servo the jumping stops also. Any help from the pros here is much appreciated!

Thanks
James

more info

the titanium gear is digital. throttle servo is stock analog. dunno if tx is digital or analog. It is a sanwa mx-3 fg fhss. made by airtronics

interesting...
i have the 7955tg as a steering servo too and also have the twitching. both the analog throttle and digital steering servo twitch like mad when i hook up my glow igniter or use the rotostart. i'm planning on switching to a new radio ( if i can decide between a spektrum or fubuta 3pm) soon and was gunna wait to see if that mellowed things out a bit.

is this your Radio Tx James?http://www.rcuniverse.com/magazine/newproduct.cfm?product_id=3691 if so its a 2.4Ghz digital so your in good shape on that end.

given that the twitching stops when you unplug your digital servo, imma guess that your analog t/b servo doesnt like running in digital mode. (i get a bit of 'twitch' when i run my analog servos in dig mode with the Futaba 3PK)

id say it'd be worth a shot upgrading your t/b servo to something digital.

also, if your not already, run a 6v hump pack in your truck.

Yours sounds like its getting signal interference with the metal on metal contact from your glow ig or roto. Are you runnin a AM Tx/Rx?

stock from the box, which i guess is AM. even before i touch anything metal to the truck, they're still twitchy. i may just put an analog steering servo back in and wait to go digital and 2.4ghz, seems like the cheaper choice right now, since i'm thinking about picking up a revo vxl :bolt:

yeah the one in the little box on the left is mine. it is 2.4 Ghz. just threw in a HS-5485hb standard digital hitech in for the t/b and it doesn't twitch now, unless its at full throttle or brake. It also seems like there is a delay every couple seconds. if I pull trigger then hit brake continuously over and over, it doesn't move w/ my finger. It's like it's not getting a signal for a second every few seconds. I bought a hump pack which is charging right now. I'll update once I try that. All problems cease to exist when I pull out the 7955tg though??? ugh

whatever it was the hump pack fixed it! yesssss! must not have been getting enough volts i guess.

Thanks for your help freddy! Ready to rock n roll. Now I just need free time to go tear around!

just an update...
i removed the 7955tg and the twitching stopped. did you keep yours in jkelt or did you remove it from your truck ?

I ended up leaving it in and upgraded to the 6 volt hump pack. That solved it for me. Really glad b/c the 7955 servo is awesome!
