i installed a reverse module in my truck and it works fine. The problem is the tranny does not shift anymore. I tried adjusting shifting point to earlier and later positions and there still is no hope. Once I go full throttle on one gear the truck starts to shake because there is too much power on one gear.

I took the transmission apart and reassembled it thinking maybe i put something the wrong way the time i installed the reverse.

I would appreciate any help guys. The sun is out and the weather is nice and i cant stand just looking at my truck sitting on my desk.

How is your engine tune? have you tried adding some WD-40 to the arm that grabs 2nd gear? When was the last time the transmission ran and worked properly?
PS - Make sure the RPM are all the way down before shifting into and out of reverse. The little gear inside it likes to grenade if you don't. I have had reverse for 2+ years now and it has saved me many climbs up 200 foot dirt and gravel piles.

i do have WD - 40 and my tune is perfect. The last time the transmission worked properly was before I installed the reverse module. I wait until the rpm are zero and then I use the reverse so I have no problem there. The thing is I tried adjusting the shifting point to earlier and later and neither have worked. I tried everything and the second gear does not want to kick in. You were saying something about the arm that grabs the second gear..???? What does that arm look like..??

I took the whole tranny apart and reassembled it a couple days back and ran the truck after and there still is no sign of second gear. I got fed up and ran out of ideas that could possibly solve the problem.

I would take out the gear pack and with my finger nail pull out the arm to make sure its not stuck for one. then check the pawls on 2ND gear. pic below shows 2ND blown out. Also if you took out the shift clutch make sure its back on the tranny in the right direction

When this happens it runs funny. Ill post of vid of the sound the mill makes in this situation too. I have to up load it..

to be honest with you i'm not sure what i'm looking for in the pics.....is it the grooves??

do both grooves have to be square like?? so that means the one with a curve is the one thats blown out correct??

in that case i have found the problem because i do have a curved groove as i recall when pulling it out..

alright man i just took mine appart and i have the same thing showing they are both stripped. i think i need a new one.

i installed the new one and the truck does not shake anymore, but there still is no second gear kicking in. i adjusted anti-clockwise almost 2 full turns and nothing still. i damaged something in the tranny because there is a lot of crackling when i roll the truck. i have to take it apart again. i don't know what else to do about this problem.
