1.0 mugen clutch spring help

hello all, i just got new nova alum. shoes and mugen 1.0 springs and the springs are not sitting in the grove in the nut??

i have the savage 25 with team orian .26 with stock .25 flywheel and nut. when i put the small washers under the shoes the spring will not sit right but if i take the washers off it works. but i do not want to leave the washers off what can i do???

you guys that are useing these springs and shoes what flywheel and nut are you useing?? thanks much..

also if i need to change my flywheel i would like to get a vented flywheel if you could recoment one that would work with my setup.

If you have room put a spacer behind the flywheel nut to space it out slightly

Loose the shims behind the shoes. RR aka Robinson Racing vented flywheel.

I have these Nova shoes & mugen 1.0's with the mugen collet nut & a HPI XL flywheel. Crash installed them on my mill.

Its a nice set-up btw, i love it & think you will too.

I used a thin brass shim behind the flywheel nut on this set-up

the pic below shows how it did not line before shimming

thanks guys. i new there was different ways of doing it just needed your advise. I'm gong to put shim under the nut.

i just got a hpi vented clutch bell is this harden? can i use it with a metal spear gear?
