Ok ok for once i can actually help some one i had to go through the same problem thats how i know trial and erorr. Well by the way it doesnt show how to get to 2nd on the pic that allan left u. It really messed me up to so ill just tell u.1 st gear to 2 u have to take out ur trans and remove the 8 screws to pull out ur trans apart it should take u 8 min to do it then u open it up and take that 3rd gear ajustment thing out thats what I'm calling it lol. Then ur going to remove that x on the pic take it off so u can hit the other 2nd gear ajustment then all u have to do is adjust that one it should tell u in ur manuel how many turns out u would have to turn to get it good and don't forget to put thread lock....ohh almost forgot this really helped me a lot when ur trying to get ur shift from 1st to 2 u want to completly close ur 3rd gear that way u wont miss up and u only hear from 1st to 2 did wonders for me hope u get me.:duh:

Actually it does show how to get to the clutch pawl later in the 3 speed manual and how many turns for the standard setting for dirtdonz with a the savage 25 motor.

He also does not state if its a 2 speed or a 3 speed so I posted both.

you should tune your motor for performance before you adjust your shift point, with that being said you want to adjust your shift where your truck accelerates faster when it shifts into 2nd gear or at the top of your powerband.

you pull the rubber cover off the tranny and the adjustment screw will be on the far right side. spin the spur gear until you see the opening come around. then while holding the spur gear spin the wheels until you get to the adjustment screw. just remember because there are 2 screws the one you want is on the bottom side and set at a little bit of an angle

i need help guys... since youre talking about adjusting shifting points i got a shifting problem....i recently installed a reverse module in my savage X and now it doesnt shift to second gear. i might have adjusted the wrong screw and as a result it doesnt shift anymore. my truck is currently running on one speed. i took the tranny apart hoping that i would find anything that doesnt look normal, but everything IS normal. I ran out of solutions so guys please.... any help..

does anyone know where i can find the reverse module installation manual for the savage X???
