My first thread. happy to be here.
I can't decide which one to choose they both seem like great tires.
Is one taller and wider then the other?

I have a set of Zombie-Maxx tires and Love them. They get great traction and all surfaces. Just an all around great tire. A molded foam is a great idea and even a round of Duct tape works great. They do tend to balloon easily. I don't see this problem with the round of DT.

FIRST OF WELCOME TO THE FORUM!!! secondly no offense to the dirt claws but i've always liked the losi tires they look awsome but i haven't actually used them myself

Welcome X4.6

The zombies are a great tire for bashing (if thats how you run your savage) and hook up pretty well on all surfaces that ive run them on.

They are a fairly soft tire tho, so the street will eat them up & like Larz pointed out, you'll want some good foams & maybe a bit of duct tape so they don't balloon on ya.

i haven't run the dirt clawz & cant think of anyone i know who has but maybe someone will see your post & chime in.

Thanks guys. I already read most of the stuff on this site about the zombies like your link scott but didn't see much of use about the dirtclaws. I'm what i've dubed a "rasher" I like all the racing mods that make you handle better and stuff. But all i normally do is bash. So i like good all-round performance on the chance i go on pavement or take a visit to the track.

We've ran the Dirt Claws on our E-Savages and they actually provide too much traction. A stock E with Dirt Claws mounted on will wheelie to no end. Asphalt, wet or dry, loose loamy dirt, rocks, pebble size to ankle twister size. These tires work great with good throttle control. I'd say they would be the perfect snow tire! The sidewall is kinda tall and rolls over a bit in the turns but most MT tires do that unless they are low pro or 40 series. Both tires should suit your need as they are very similar in tread pattern. The hpi tires are soft, but not as soft as say they kit tires that come on the Savage line.

Good Luck and have fun "RASHING"!!!

I have them fred. Can you tell how much I like them...

For the thread out of the two choices go zombie.

Not my two fave tires to pic from however..

thanks snuffle and rupter. Yeah "rashing" couldn't come up with anyother word that combined "bashing and racing" i don't race but I get all the race mods for bashing.

i think a lot of us do this. what rasher mods you got bro?

I screwed up my plastic spur awhile back so got the hpi racing spur with the purple middle with the hpi vented clucth bell, hpi wheelie bar, and the big bore shocks which i got last week. I took you guys advice and put 30 in the front and 42.5 1.6ts in the rear. I like it but need the hard hellfire springs to speed up the rebound and maybe to get the full ride height.
