XL Spur gear

Can I run a 52 tooth plastic spur gear on my XL in stead of the steal one?

why? lol you can but that spur will last the life of the truck if you treat it right.

ya since it came with the truck i would stick with that actually.. once the mesh is proper it will last almost forever.. i admit there more expensive to replace but that wont be an issue if your mesh is ok!!!

I ask this because I think after a few bad jumps my motor may of moved and stripped the clutch bell. The spur gear didn't look to bad but I couldn't get a new one.
I meshed the gears using the paper in the manual as per instruction, after a short run I noticed some makes one the new clutch bell, irregular marks.
I can get a plastic one now, which is why I asked.
Yes and cheaper.

I was told this was a option the stop the clutch bell from being stripped, again why I came here to ask you guys.
