calling out to all who run wings

okay guys i heard about wings and how there's different ways to mount them i wanting to know whats the best way to mount one parker mentioned the dpp racing mount. also what wing and stays to use I'm open to suggestions so post away thanks

Dan, I make a Wing mount (PRC145) that uses the Hot Body's Wing Stay which I tend to stock. This does mount to the older style Shock towers best as it doesn't work well on the X style. I will be updating this soon to fit the X Towers better.

This product holds up very well.

Otherwise, all I have seen is custom mounting for the most part.

Larsen I'll take one of those wing mounts cf ones and test the hell out of it at the Houston Bash in March. No need for the wing stay I have one.

dan i just ordered the wing mount and stay for the mugen mbx6 and a himoto wing ill send you some pics when it gets here. I have a newer x ss. I'm still going to have to custom fab a plate for it to mount to out of aluminum.

i use the new era wing mount modified because i have the stock towers,didnt really need it ,wanted it for the look......m2c

I run the DPP and it doesn't hold up that well. I race and after a couple races I took it off to maintain the diffs and it was a bent already. I'm looking forward to the carbon version from PRCP coming out. I need one bad. The DPP fits the Mugen BMX5 wing if I remember correctly.

this is all good info. larsen would your wing mount work on savage 25 towers and any diffrent stays ? i was looking at the dpp one oregon i guess everthing is a catch 22

I have the dpp and it has bent. One day I will take if off and hammer it flat again. Still doesn't seem like it can bend much really. It doesn't make any difference that it is bent.

larsen would your wing mount work on savage 25 towers and any different stays?

Our PRC145 will mount the the 21/25 shock towers and has holes for the Hotbodys mount preexisting but you can drill new holes if you see fit.

how did you attach it to the shock tower ????

the top two screws of the wing stay go through the shock tower where the body clips go and the two lower holes go through the tower just above bottom of the body post holes just had to drill the holes
