New to rc gearing!! Share your insight!!!

I'm new to rc and just purchased a savage xl. recently purchased 18t clutch and 47t spur gear. was just curious as to if this was a good or bad decision. i mostly just drive it around having fun but id like to get into racing these things.

What motor are you running .. That is the best gear combo IMO ... Great Top speed ..

thats close to the stock gear ratio on the stock savage x. try it out for a bit and chage it according to you driving habbits.

first off welcome to the forum, secondly that gearing is fine and actually probabally a little easier on your drivetrain then having it geared lower for "wheelies" lol

Thanx for all the welcomes and the replies. i have a 5.9 engine on it it came with 16t clutch and 52t spur.
