Is there a CEN diff shortage?

I had a stock bearing go out the other day which ruined my bulkhead, so I am in the process of doing the cen diff mod. Problem is i cant find the GS005 26t. bevel gear any where. I have everything else that I ordered through my LHS but the bevel gear is on backorder at horizon which is his supplier. Does anyone know if any online retailer has some in stock? I checked tower and they only have one which sucks because i need two and there is none on ebay except for the whole diffs.

Pardon my ignorance, but I'm getting ready to do a cen diff mod myself...are you buying these parts cuz they got ruined, or is this a part i will need to get when i do my mod?
.
Reason I'm askin' is cuz i haven't seen this come up in any of the threads i have to do the mod.... i bought complete CEN diffs that were taken off a new CEN truck that was parted out on ebay..

Freddy I need the parts to do the upgrade, and thanks for the fast reply just what i was needing! I think I will order from eHobbies how are they. Advantage is cheapest but out of stock.:cussing:

The best way to do this mod is to buy full diffs off ebay. Not the parts! you can get a full diff for under 30 bucks if you are luckey. I got 3 for 80... You need the full diff less the cups and the housing. But to buy the parts you are luckey to get a full diff for under 60+

Bank is right. You might also want to get some better bearings (The HPI ones) The CEN's are not rubber sealed.

Also when I said housing I mean the plastic housing it comes in... Not the diff case itself. JIC that was not clear for someone doing this for the first time.

Yea, I bought 4 avid rubber sealed bearings from lhs. One side is rubber shielded and the other is metal. I've never used these before but they seem high quality, very smooth and no play.

D-Sims I have the avid bearings they do real good, make sure you mount the rubber seals out towards the dirt, and the metal seals into the houseings to help keep them clean.
