I run the Nova shoes with the .9 mugen springs. I have ran the stock teflon shoes for ages, but the metal shoes engage harder and slip less than the teflon, at least IMO. The only down side to metal shoes is that you have to sand them down sometimes and get the burrs off of them but other than that they are good shoes. With the Nova shoes they come with weights that you can put in the shoes to adjust when you want them to engage.

I have run the nova shoes and mugen 1.0 springs on both my savages and love them. the springs are heavier duty and the shoes engage better and last longer. as for the burrs on the aluminum I have not come across any yet. both sets of nova shoes ive purchased were perfectly machined.

Just curious
Really just curious why people are so high on these. I'm a newbie about a gallon and a half into my first rc. Have had my issues but I can do back flips on command. So I'm not sure why engaging harder is a good thing. Slipping I can understand as it would create more heat (melt spurs) but that clearly has not been an issue yet.
I bought some Integy alum shoes as back ups off ebay for a great price. I put them in last night just because I wanted to try them. Now I really have to pay attention when I launch. But I was thinking the factory shoes were a bit worn in by the time I first went WOT due to the breakin stuff.
Again just curious why people are so hot on these.

Nova makes awesome products, again they are adjustable also if you don't want them to launch so hard....
Others will chime in but that is the main reason I like mine
