Tranny Damage today ,, HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN ? I am thinking about 20 gallons of hard bashing probably took it's toll

Notice the hole in the tranny case and the chunk of metal missing (next to the adjustment hole)

Drove it like you stole it much??? Looks like you have the same kind of luck I have with mine LOL Run for 5 minutes and spend 3 hours fixing it :duh:

Never had a problem w/ it until now ..

It was in a savage 25 . That I bought like 3 yeas ago .. been threw 5 engines ..

2 .25
1 sts .30
2 surefire .32

Jester, you just need more trucks. I cut my damage percentage down by adding another r/c. My original gets some down time now. With 5 your savage wont break as much lol.

lol .. I have 2 savages .. I was building a 3rd .. Bud canned the idea because I realized I couldn't keep up w/ 3 trucks .. OMG 5 I would loose track ..lol.. And probably my family .

Hey all,
We went bashing at the weekend & Savagebasher4.6 managed to break his exhaust,so,we took a picture of it! :) He landed hard on the back end & the wheeliebar battered the exhaust. We also had 2 pullstarts break & stripped a spur gear.A good days bashing was had by all :)

thats why you go with the buku. the rear exhausts seem to get tore up, and ripped off to easily. i have the polished hpi pipe, and for the hpi engine, it woke it up pretty good.

could possiably fix it still if it is just dented and deformed. look up the method of freezing ur pipe, seems to work well and its a loss anyway so no point in not trying to fix it

Bashing + rear exhaust = bad idea. Time for a Buku!

OUCH!! but looks like you had fun and thats all that matters.

Not to get off thread topic, but thanks Dread, I just got the HPI polished pipe and I can't wait to see the difference the pipe will make.

Yeah, rear exaust isn't good for bashing. I jump the crap out of my rig, and I can't count the amount of broken bumper screws I have now. I'm sure I'd have destroyed many rear pipes by now lol.

Evenin all,
I think its safe to say he wont be buying another rear fitting exhaust!Looking at the vid,the landing wasnt all that bad !

The worst thing was,we hadnt been out all that long before this happened. The other 2 got a good bashing though ;).Full vid coming soon!

I agree w/ Pine, it seems like it was just a bit unlucky.

It's kind of funny how you can mash these things into just about anything sometimes and they don't seem to take a scratch, then another time you just seem to clip something a tiny bit and the whole damn thing practically explodes.

OMG !!!! that is serious man .. damn I don't know what to say sorry my man

ps. looks like the pipe was spared tho

Hey, its a good excuse to get some FLM or IRC tvps. Maybe a midtank while your at it. Always rebuid stronger. You can tell the wife that your just fixing the broken parts. lol

Holy crap! That looked like it hurt! Wow. Sorry about that damage. I gotta say, it's a pretty good demonstration of real damage however!

As grumpy said, new extended TVP's would be kickin` specially if you went with a mid-tank as well! :)
