is the spur melted at all? You may have to use a washer between the spring and spur.

That's strange. Are you sure it's not the clutch slipping. I destroyed my first slipper on the weekend. Good old LRP power.

is the metal part completley clean no melted plastic on it ?

Yes are you sure that its not the clutch shoes slipping on the clutch. If the slipper is slipping it will melt the center of the Spur vary fast.

i know it will have experience with that. the engine revs up all the way but it goes really slow think thats more slipper or the clutch shoes?

I don't know how you are testing to see if your slipper is slipping but I know a set of worn out clutch shoes can cause similar problems. How much is the slipper slipping and how do you know it's slipping? That should help work out what is wrong.

Shoes, Get your self some alum shoes. The best ones are the Novas with Mugen 1mm shoes secondly the OFNA shoes and third could be the HPI ones. There are several others as well.

Are you sure the pin at the back of the slipper plate is still there after you replaced the slipper? Seen that done before as it can fall out with out you noticing while you are reassembling everything.

Check what MT said.

If the teeth stripped off then its for sure the Clutch Shoes and if the center went out then the slipper wasnt tight enought.

Let us know.

ive got a set of the stock clutch shoes sitting around ill put those on there next time i buy new ones ill look into aluminum ones

dad just made a good point......the metal thing on the back of the spur gear gets pretty hot around 100 degrees so reason to believe theres some slipping there 2

tim I'm pretty sure the pin is there but i will double check

That metal thing getting hot is a good indication that the slipper is slipping. That's how I knew mine was slipping on the weekend. Stick your finger on it and if it burns you you know something is wrong.
