Check out my carbon fiber savage parts at www.platinumrcproducts.com mine are much cheaper and are 4mm thick. Mine are also made of a Quasi-iso fiber which is one of the best fibers available. Mine are only 10mm lower where theres are 12mm with the engine 7mm where mine are 10mm at the engine as well shich is where the weight is.

I have 2 different kits 1 is standard length LCG and the other is extended LCG which is 1.5" longer. Most on the site will say longer and I compleatly agree I love my extended trucks.

If you were to go my rought I will recommend you going with one of the savage Chassis Kits as it comes with a CF skip plate as well to give the extra protection to the trans/brake but also protects the bottom of the TVP's. If going with the kit you basicly get the skid for 1/3 of the cost.

They say theres are 96 Grams, My standard length ones are like 105 Grams where my Extended ones are only 120 Grams. The FLM extended ones are 260Grams and the stock X TVP's are roughly 142 Grams just to give you the weight difference. These weights are as a pair.

Are allot of you guys running LCG and extended Chassis? Any real downside to LCG and extended?

I run the lcg on one truck but it's not extended. When you go ext. you pretty much eliminate wheelies, so to me that is a drawback. On the other hand the truck will drive like it's on rails.

i still do wheelies with mine. extended flm tvp's, goliath tires, and 14/52 cb/sg combo.

it handles great, i can crank the wheels all the way over going full bore and it wont flip over.

Both my trucks will still pull wheelies when they are tuned fairly good. I run Extended LCG TVP's on both trucks and will never switch them back as I love them.

everyone has forgotten the one downside to EXT chassis, and that's a larger turning radius...

something to think about if you're building a racer...

true enough, but that wasn't the question...was just pointing out something that hadn't been mentioned...and if you want the tightest turning radius, do the steering hub mod, and stick with standard length TVPs...steer clear (pun intended) of the 4 wheel steering mod in a racer, as I don't believe most track rules probably don't allow for them....plus it would handle squirrely as hell...

ya i don't think that you could keep a 4x4x4 on the track would be wayyyy to squirrely ..... btw i run super extended tvps .....about 5 inch extended on the 6x6 and will still wheelie and the 4 wheel steer on it well even on that long of a truck with the extra set of wheels it still will turn too quick, i mean turn on a dime and give ya 9 cents change so i couldnt immagine trying to keep a 4x4x4 on a track

If you see my signature you can see a how to on the turn radious decreasing.

I also have to add this. With my steering on both of my extended trucks with a little shaving of the steering hubs and a longer servo horn or adjusting the end points out further on a digital radio both my extended trucks turn sharper than it did when it was stock.

When turning at a slow pace or like 10mph they will run circles in less than 4'.
