Temp Fail Safe

I found this on Tower Hobbies, its a normal fail safe with the added Temparture Fail Safe also. Has anyone had any dealings with this type of fail safe?

Or should I just settle for a normal fail safe.

Yeah i was thinking it would save me time of constantly using the temp gun. Find my average temp then put if for 5 degrees over or so. When I get everything together etc Ill let everyone know how it goes more in detail. At the moment I wont be doing much of anything due to the winter chill that came through my state. 4 Degrees at night and 18 to 25 in the day, isnt to fun. :stressed:

They had some quality control issues with those units about a year ago, but I haven't heard anything lately so hopefully they've got them fixed up.

well the spektrum has a failsafe built in.. and if you want the the well you could get an onboard temp monitor...... or you could get the spektrum telemetry pack...... it has temp display.. along with a few other goodies.I installed a telemetry pack on my brother's st-1 pro its kinda cool

Ya I know, but a temp. failsafe is still safer than remembering to watch the telemetry module. Don't get me wrong, I want that telemetry pack too...

I have placed the order for the fail safe, should be here by next wednesday. Hopefully there will be better weather by then so I can see put it through the paces.

i trYED a few diff temp guns and that one was off so many times it was saying the wrong temp

I agree with this. I have heard of some problems a while back. Nothing recently. I would stick to a standard fail safe, or better yet get a Futaba FASST 2.4Ghz system and never worry again.

try this, its accurate from several feet away +/- 2 degrees. extremely accurate.
