I can't seem to get my wheels to stop spinning. I tried pretty much everything tune wise. I'm thinking it's one of two things or both. I resently installed a few new items. Maximizer diff locker(rear), Hitec HS985MG steering servo, SF-2 is now the throttle/brake servo, Ofna Linkage mod. I think the problem is 1) Due to the fact that the rear diff is locked, there is no slipping (diffs). I think the remedy would be to loosen the spur gear since I know it's tightened all the way.

I also install some new items on the last semi-rebuild(ripped my rear diff gears in 15 minutes on grass), I'll list them in case.
HPI 47t steel spur gear & 18t racing clutchbell, HPI aluminum clutch shoes. I'd like to thank everyone in advance for shedding light on this issue.

I got the old kit it had only one slider, I use a piece that was in the parts bag w the Savage X. I modified it to work as a slider.

Are you meaning the truck will drive on its own when your finger isnt on the Trigger. If so it is more than likely the idle speed, or you are way to light on your clutch shoes.

Could also need to adjust the linkage setup. You want to make sure the carb slide is approx 1mm open and when you work the throttle it returns to that position. I had the same problem when I set mine up. I used this in addition to the Ofna kit you got because I liked the sliders better, they also offer it in purple, just couldn't find it now.

are you saying that they spin on take off instead off hooking up?

I found out that a little slower action on the throttle servo will prevent this.

Sorry for the confusion, I meant when you start it, no matter how I adjust the carb, it won't sit still. As for the clutch shoes, I fisrt tried it with the heavy springs that came with it, it wouldn't move. Just a note it ran fine before I installed the diff locker. I hope this helps. Peace.

The cb should not be turning so, the diffs arent part of the mystery

the shoes are engaging or dragging.

I would take it back off if you cant set idle low enough for wheels not to turn. imo

speaking of wheels are those cen wheels? how do you like them?

Thanks for all the help. I just finished fixing the problem, needed a low speed needle adjustment and I had to adjust the linkages, the spring on the throttle was set to tight, it was closing the carb when I applied the brakes. Hopefully I can get out tomorrow for a little test drive. The wheels are HPI Tremors wrapped with HPI Goliath tires. They come already mounted and glued. I think they're awesome good grip on most surfaced except loose(fine)gravel. They don't sideroll as much as the stock tires. The only complaint I have is if you don't have the updated diffs (aluminium w/shims), your gonna burn through rear diffs like crazy. The O.S. with those tires shattered a rear center dogbone. I countn't find a single peace of it. Peace.
