In Search for a transmitter and receiver for my Savage XL FLUX

Hello folks,

I am slowly building a Savage XL Flux with the left over parts from one of my nitro Savages. I got the Draco center diff and TVPs. I used to own a Futaba 4PV and two receivers. I was stupid enough to sell the barely used set for €160 2 years ago.

Before that I was using the Sanwa MX-3X but could not really get myself to like the Sanwa which I still own btw....

So should I get a new trasmitter and if yes what is your recommendation?

I can go back to the new iteration of Futaba 4PV which is now called Futaba 4PM...

But I have seen some people with these Flysky Noble transmitters. The dude from Amain Hobbies is raving about this transmitter called Sense Innovations S10. And then there is a minority group that swears by this open source Audio Master M12.

Where to go with a budget of €200 to €250?

I have two Savage XL nitros. I am hoping to finish my Flux build soon to make it 3. So the transmitter will be for surface only and need not have 65 channels. One consideration I have is the cost of receivers. I don't want to buy a receiver for €250 and then find out the receivers cost €100 each...

My least appealing option is to keep using the Sanwa....


Any advice would be appreciated.

I can't speak directly to any of the options that you listed, but Futaba has been my go-to brand since I got into the hobby 30 years ago.
I still primarily run Futaba 3PJ Magnum FM transmitters...

Where to go with a budget of €200 to €250?

I think that the Futaba 4PV transmitter would eat up most (if not all of) your budget, but YOLO.
I've learned that the concept of staying within budget with this hobby is nothing but a pipe dream.

On the other hand, any decent brand with features like battery or transmitter (reception) fail safe should suffice.
