Wobbly diff cups

Hello,has anyone had problems with excessive slop in the diff cups,axle end? Mine seem to have lots of slop in them,not in and out,but wobble back and forth in all directions of rotation.I was thinking of shimming the shafts that go into the diff case with something,as one is a new Hot racing I think,and still the output shafts are wobbly.

I'm a little confused. it is the shaft attached to the diff, the axle cup attached to the diff, the driveshaft, or the axle cup which is at the wheel? and do you mean wobbling like a bent shaft? or just play.

It's the axle cups,that come out of the diffs,both driver and passenger sides have excessive play.ill try to post pics

What type of diff cup, plastic or alloy and are they original or aftermarket? Some non-branded diff cups have poor tolerances, hence the diff cup may wobble. Shimming helps to reduce wobble, as I had similar issues and they seem to run ok, but not inspected lately.

Alloy,one is stock,the other is HR.i think it may just be that they are worn,my flux hp seems to have less play,I'm gonna shim or replace before bigger problems ?

yea in that case would try shimming and see if it helps
