I tried to adjust my shifting I located the clutch holder then held spur and turned the wheels and nothing happened my drive shafts didn't move.runs fine just doesn't shift what gives

are you sure you adjusted the correct screw, the adjustment screw is 2mm and on an angle, the other one is 2.5 mm and holds the hub onto the shaft

Thanks for that pic Elwood, I was looking for that but just couldnt find it...... guess I suffered a brain fart :lmao:

No Virgilbigfish, Elwood was referring to HPI and their old song about parts being available sometime in the near future , which we all know has been months and month with not much happening.......

Thanks Jam , How he took that the wrong way is beyond me.

Sometimes, reading is hard. :D

ELWOOD

Good Morning,
We are having deliveries every month here in the UK. Once we receive and unload them they are sent on to distributors around the world.
We are working on improving the quantities to reduce the waiting time we are seeing currently.

Kind Regards

Does anyone know where i could get a 3 speed transmission for my savage x? I have a two speed right now
You can find them on ebay from time to time but are very spendy.. Cheapest I've seen was $130.00 plus shipping I still have a new one in the box..!!

I just don't know why anyone would want a 3 speed trans, difficult to get parts for and very difficult to set the 3rd gear shift point... I would stick with the 2 speed since there is very little difference in speed between the 2....

This is completely not true. If you know what you're doing, it takes a little time and patience to get it set up. But it's just cool to hear them shift..

I have to disagree with your assessment, top speed gain is negligible and having to take out the entire cluster to effect shift point changes is too much work for the tiny bit of gain provided by the extra gear...... but I guess that is why they built the thing to complicate things just that much more

Guess we agree to disagree , I've had no real issue with my 3 speed since getting it dialed in . Obviously the 2 speed is less work for those who do not wanna deal with the achievement of getting it to work correctly.. My 2 speed Savage is really not as fast .
