Hey all! Man its been a hot minute since I've even been on this forum... haha my bad I guess. So lets get down to business. I finally got rid of that old 160cc stock tank the savages came with. I was sick of it leaning out on me and I really didn't want it damaging my engine. So I finally bought a new tank off of Amazon (Kyosho Inferno 125cc tank) All I had to do to mount this tank was dremel down the extruding piece on the side, then I took the rear tank mount and drilled a hole through the bottom, flipped it so it's facing the outside, and put a longer screw through it as well as two washers. I've had the tank for two weeks now and its worked wonders, I've ran about 3 tanks through it and no problems what so ever. Great purchase, especially for ten bucks! Bye bye half tank lean!

I've included a picture down below

Hi could you post some pictures where you did the mod. Thanks

Can you post a top down photo so I can see the profile of the tank against the chassis? Looks like the tank has a bit of a dog leg in it. With that, does it fit under the body ok?

Geez man! Cut those shock tower bolts down!

I had an issue years ago on a t-maxx when running a 4 shock setup. The RPM tower was flexing so much that it was slamming the tower into the fuel tank and cracking it at it's legs. Took me 5 tanks to figure out what was happening. If I had long ass bolts like yours, it would have poked a hole in the tank, then I'd have known right away! LOL

As for your tank, I think I tried a buggy/truggy 150cc tank that had a dogleg in it and it pushed the body out. Must have been wider than the one your using.

Lol, ill trim the bolts sometime, I ordered new ones because the originals were bent. They sent the wrong ones and they fit so I just said screw it and used them. I was actually concerned about the problem you just listed, but i even tried at full compression the bolts didn't touch the tank. The tank is more long and narrow and actually not very tall, but for what it is its 10x better. When I ordered the new tank I did a full tank run with the setup I had been using (Real rich, so half tank lean was actually a decent tune) then tried the new tank. I lost about 3 minutes of total run time, for not having to worry about it leaning out, I say it was worth it.

It's not landing right and the shocks bending the tower, it's landing wrong and the ground bending the tower. I doubt you will have the issue I had since the tank is so much lower though.

I got the tank frm my lhs but the tank is A bit long and unable to fix. How did u mount the rear side of the tank. I know to cut off the excess of thebtank in the rear. Can you provide the mod u did for the rear side. Appreciate it

all i did was flip the mounting piece so it was facing outward. I then drilled a hole through the bottom of it and lined it up with the same hole where you would mount it normally. I put two washers between the piece and where it meets the body, and screwed it in.

Sorry for asking but could you provide clearer pics of the rear mount? Sorry for the trouble.

Did you ever mount that tank? I got my Inferno tank today, and tried to mount it, and it really seems that tank is 10-20mm too long to fit in standard mounts.

Now i looked it with fresh eyes, and yes, the tank is way too long to fit in standard mounting holes, but ive got solution.
Front mount is just fine as it is, no need to do anything for it.
And then rear mount, need to remove it from its standard place, then need do thrill 4mm hole in it (carefully, the mount is only 5-6mm wide) then need to remove rear frame screw (m4, wich goes into rear diff case) then replace that screw with longer one and install the rear mount of tank with this screw.
