Balance boards

Dose anyone use them? I think I'm going to stop using mine due to when I plug my batteries it shows one cell at 5.3 cell two at like 3.2 cell three at 0.00. So I plugged it straight into my charger works with no issue. Whats everyone's experience or opinion.

I always balance charge. Best way to maintain equal cell voltage. As for your odd readings, have you taken a meter to the battery to verify those? That would be a very damaged battery if they were true.

I always balance charge also but I've had no luck using the balance boards. I just plugged the battery right into to balance port on the charger and worked with no problem.

I use balance boards on my charger just because it's easier to get to then trying to poke the short balance lead into the side of the charger. I actually have extensions on it too so I get more room. The only space I had for my charger when I started electric running is a bit annoying to get at. I haven't had any issues with the charger not seeing the cells though. I only run 2 cell packs, but the balance boards and extension I used can handle up to 6S I think.

Wonder if I need to buy different balance boards? The ones I'm using came with the high tech x4 charger.
