or FLM bulkhead
or just hpi plastic stock cases
(SavageX)
What is the best? especially if looking at upgrading all internal gears in differentials!
(All opinions welcome!)
Stock plastic works for me easy to rebuild the differential on the truck easy to shim and i stress the most important part on the truck is the diffs shimming is one of the most important things to get rite and then there is fluids i prefer hi tack waterproof grease for differential spider gears and ring and pinion also machined bullet proof differential gears over sintered bullet proof gears :hpisf:

I'd stick with the stock plastic ones. I'm not sure if the ones you linked let the diff slide in from the front or not. Appears they are split in half like the old savage diff cases were. If that's the case, it will limit you to using the old/smaller non HD diff output shaft/cups because they won't fit through the sides of the housings. I ran into that issue when I upgraded my old 21 style savage with alloy diff cases by buying the HD diffs for the XL off ebay. Tore them down, cleaned them out, put 100k oil in the diffs, then realized I couldn't put the diff in the stupid case and had to tear them back down and use my old worn diff cups. Was hoping I'd have been able to upgrade to the super HD dogbones and wheel axles... no luck with the split cases.

I got rid of that savage and ended up getting another one a few y ears later, the X. Was able to throw in the HD diffs with the super HD outdrives and bones without an issue. Just wish they had something a bit better for the center...
