Best diff cup for BP diff

I'm going to upgrade my diff to BP crown and pinion gear set. But I'm wondering what is the best diff cup to be used. I know the HPI aluminum diff cup is really good but I'm not a fan of 10x16mm bearing. I prefer to use 8x16mm bearing since it is much stronger. Any input would be really much appreciated.

idk about "Best," but the Nova diff-cup for Hellfire will replace that 10mm x16mm with an 8mm x 16mm.

gonna set you back about $20 a piece tho

Wow I didnt know that, cheers :resp: I'll look into them, already got rid of the 10x16 on the ring gear side with BP diffs but I'd love to get rid of the other one.

So the Hellfire and Savage cups and diff internals are the same? Just the ring n pinion gears are different?

Nova have a sale on at the moment too, $14.99 for their diff cups, think I'll have to get me a set of the hellfire ones.

I assume if I were to buy the Savage Nova cup it will take the crappy 10x16?

but i can tell you i have a set of the hellfire ones here (bank tole me this tip) & they definately take the 8mm x 16mm caz i checked em :jamout:

Cool! Cheers again, I'll defo have to get a set of them then, Nova want $28.99 PER CUP to ship to the UK though :duh: thats crazy, gotta be worth it to get rid of the 10x16 I guess.

I have done this mod. it takes shimming and stuff but so far they have held. Id call in insufficient data at this point. but I know with all 8x16 bearings I don't have to worry about them ...

Getting rid of 10x16 beaings is a good idea, will the hellfire diif cups work with savage internals? or did you have to use different spiders & stuff?
