Steering slop

I just got my savy x a few days ago and after checking it out, there is quite a bit of play in the front end. Wondering if this is normal, and if not how to fix it. Thanks.

Shim the bearings for the axle slop... then do this.. https://www.hpisavageforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11484 nothing to do with slop but to improve steering.. If I have the truck off the ground I can turn the wheels left and right quite a bit.

ok, check your servo saver screw and see if snuggin it up a little fixes you up.

OK. I'll give it a shot.

Figured it out. The screws for the post that the servo saver is on were loose!

crank those down all the way.. top and bottom steering crank posts. now do that mod i said above ^

How do I shim the bearings?

I think he means put the correct size shims between the bearings and the pin that goes through the axle? I noticed i had a bit of play in that area... especically with the HD Extended axles....

Correct me if I'm wrong
