I got a set of bp diffs but me being me like to have a full set of back ups of anything I have on my truck so I feel the need to buy a second set as a back up. What do you guys think am I just being OCD or should I get another set.

Also the same with the new rpm arms I got.

i don't think you need a complete second set of diffs just one to be able to fix one if you do manage to break one(haven't heard of anyone breaking one even on 4s LiPo). as for arms i would get some spares just in case

I just put them in the front & back of mine. I'm pretty sure they're gonna hold up but I kept the 1 good stocker in the box just in case something happens on race day. With the WF coming up, you can never have too many spare parts. Same goes for the arms. Throw your old stock ones in the tool box just in case you need a quick spare. A lot of us here in VA have one of these:

It works great for holding all those misc. parts and pieces that you might need. Home Depot used to have them for around $20-$25.

I havnt killed a bullet proof diff yet but i do have one set spare and a few full sets of diff bearings on hand and i still replace them every gallon or two.

Yea going to order the stuff today.

2 diffs so I can have a complete set built and ready to go in the box and one of each rpm arm.

Thanks Terry. But because I bought that set from you and I have OCD when it comes to spare parts I just bought another 2.

I know exactly what you mean. I still have both my stockers just in case. But from what i have heard and read, these BP diffs should be the ticket. Terry

I always had extra diffs loaded with different weight oils for tuning. I don't break the stock X diffs with nitro but I have BPs for my flux

has anyone installed a locked diff in there savage?? if so is it any good??

looked diffs in a savage are bad news. They cause broken dogbones, and a truck that is very hard to control.

you know pope, that have pills for that ocd thing you got :dunno:

I should look into that but I don't take hardly any med if I can help it because I don't like things messing with my head. I don't drink much either because of it.

i highly doubt you will ever kill a BP diff, mine are still going strong... however i do have ONE spare just incase... but there is no need for 2 unless you plan on building another truck in the meantime.. lol

its nice to know someone cares..🙂.....but i too am inflicted with the spare diff disease, its easier just to pop one in, than to clean out the old diff and replace the broken gear and put the oil in back in

Lol never blew the internals of a for gear diff just the pinions. I did blow a stock 25's internals though. My pre built diffs are for if I want a diffrent weight diff oil for a race.

where i bash, is 45 mins. from my house, so if i break something out at the quarry and i don't have spare parts, you can see how that would suck, and i don't have all day to tear stuff apart and rebuild, so it was easier to have prebuilt spares on hand to just pop in if they blow
ive never blown a diff on any nitro trucks, well maybe once or twice but, i do a number on diffs with my brushless savage convo., that things an animal and i beat the snot out of it at the sand pit, lipos and sand paddles arent friendly to my diffs
