As most of you know i just got the DX3S this Friday however this week end the rolling pin snapped inside the radio. As soon as this happened i contacted Horizon Hobby and they are sending me a replacement pin free of charge so if this ever happens to you you don't have to spend a dime to fix your controller just send them a email and they will send you the part so that you can replace it with a stronger one when i get my replacement pin i will take pics of where the part broke.

Attention DX3S Owners

We have received reports of the rolling selector breaking on a limited number of DX3S transmitters. When the rolling selector breaks, the menu system can no longer be accessed and the rolling selector has to be replaced.

We apologize if you experience this issue and want to help you correct it immediately. Your DX3S can be fixed in two ways: 1) You can return your DX3S transmitter to the Spektrum Service Center nearest to you free of charge or 2) If you are comfortable opening the transmitter, Horizon can send you a replacement rolling selector, LCD cover, top decal and instructions on how to perform this repair yourself.

thought i heard a couple guys chime in shout & say you can buy an upgrade alum. pin for $10.

is this true? do you need to buy upgrade parts for your Tx?

if you want you can buy a Al part for it personally i don't want to spend the extra money on that when i can get it fixed for free. The part that they are sending me is a fixed version of it rather then the same one so i don't think i will have any problems with it. However my wheel is upgraded

Ok Sudi, thats good to know that they recognized the issue & came up with a better solution.

Thx for posting, may be helpful to a lot of DX3s owners here + rep.

I got my replacement roller from Horizon friday, NEVER had an issue with it, but went ahead and ordered(no cost to me) it so if anything does happen I won't have any downtime.

Ok the part that they sent me as a "replacement" broke again. I have sent them a E-Mail i will go on holidays next week and i was planing on going out of town and taking the savage with me and this happens... I'm MAD!!! I thought that they fixed this problem...

i love it as well. it was worth the wait for the metal part. so if you can just wait to stick it in so you don't do the same job twice.

well it sounds like some of you guys got a stronger pin for your wheel. hopefully that solve's sudi's issue caz it seems like he is happy with it on all other aspects.
