Hitec HS-635HB ok for my throttle servo?

Hi i have one of the above sitting here and i was wandering if it would be better than my standard hpi servo for my throttle that is in my xl?The standard throttle servo struggles to open the carb fully and if this hitec one is more powerfull i will fit that in its place.Thanks for any advice.

Should be better than stock, id throw it on, 6kg torque 0.15sec @6v

Thanks mate.I have blown way to much on the savage this month and i have this one laying around.If its better like you say i will put it on.

Yep, only one way to find out ;-)

My SF-1 was extremely weak, wouldnt open the carb past 1/2 way in the end with a throttle return spring fitted, had to run without one on till i could replace the servo.

I told myself i wasnt going to spend any money this month but so far i have ordered a prc wing mount plate and wing stay,new wing,hpi dish wheels and like an idiot i tryed cutting my tyres off of the old wheels but now they wont stick to the new wheels so i will need more tyres:dmt:.The servo will have to do for now.lol

Well the 635 was a dud and didnt work(my mate gives me all his junk!!).Now i have found a 645MG that does work.I wander if i should use that for the stearing and use the standard xl(hpi sf-5)servo for the throttle?

Oh right i didnt know the XL came with the SF-5, i thought just the flux came with it.

Not sure of which would be the better there, i ran the 645MG for quite a while and it was OK, a little weak and slow but adequate, definately better than the stock SF-2 my X came with, i never stripped a set of gears on it, but my dad managed to after an incident involving a tree :duh: replaced the gears on it then it died when i used it with my DX2

Thanks mate.Yep the XL comes with the sf-5 for the strearing and sf-1 on the throttle.I have just fitted the 645 on(i hate setting up the throttle servo!!)and it is opening the throttle fully with the throttle return spring fitted.I hope the tree that your dad hit was ok.lol
