Help me pick.

I am going to be getting a 2.4ghz radio finally in a few weeks so I figure I would start doing some research now. Here are my wants and needs.

I am going to be getting both a truggy and buggy for racing so I would like to have a bit of a better radio than the dx3s which is what I was leaning towards before. It has to have at least 5 model memory truggy, buggy, savage, and rs4, plus another little project I have in the works. I would like it to be dsm2 or sim. Receivers have to be easy to get don't want a crazy off brand that I will not be able to get receivers for in a year. 3 channel would be a big plus (You never know)

Other than that I am not real familar with diffrent features radio's have hence the thread. What do you guy recomend? What are some other features I should look for?:thinking:

Yea thought about it I am buying a lot of three used rc's in 3 weeks and it comes with 2 old speckys and a M11. Was thinking about selling them and getting 1 new fully updated tx.

If you have the cash I say go for the updated one. Can't remember all the cool features for some reason. I do know it comes with a rechargeable battery pack.

the futaba 3 channel, i like my spektrum but i think that everyone will recommend there own system as long as it hasn't given them grief.

That is one crazy radio. I like it but have idea what half of that stuff is for.

i've never feel the need for better radio than my mx3-2.4, but if you feel the need for speed, i agreed with freddy, get a 4pk like atsushi hara..

I say if you want to spend the $$$ go with the 4PK. I have the 3PM though and love it. It's got a lot of adjustments like expos and stuff that I'll probably never use. That 3PM-mx you had a link to is set-up with added options for rock crawlers. If your not going to do any crawling you can get the standard 3PM for cheaper.

alex, take the hit & buy it. you'll save money in the long run because you wont outgrow it any time soon.


plus your getting into racing & this baby was made for you racer-punks. there is also a rebate if you qualify, i haven't read the terms for it.
