I have both LST XXL shocks and Muggy shocks. Muggys are just shorter than LSTs. I wonder HPI Bigbores are durable as LSTs or Muggys. They look lighter than LSTs and Muggys. If they are durable and reliable, I think it'll be a good upgrade to lighten my savage.

Big bores all the way but I would go with the muggy shocks over lst you want a lower truck for handling. lst have to be modded

I haven't heard good things about mounting LST's on a savage. I've heard several people say that they are too vertical and you need to modify the mounting points on the a-arm to get a good angle on them.

I was trying to figure out whether to do LST's or big bores not too long ago. I ended up buying big bores and I'm happy I did. They are lighter than LST's and installation is a breeze. From what I've heard they perform better too.

I have both and all this is in many threads here too. Big bores over the lsts any day. If you the type that likes your truck as tall as it can sit and huge tires it wont matter what you do and use what you have...

big bores.....i've seen trucks with lst's run and they are WAAAY to bouncy.....BB's are a bolt on upgrade...no mods or mounts to buy....think about it.......

Big Bores for me aswell.I don't have the big bores but have had the lst's and took them off. They weight to much, handle like crap and i like to run my body as low as possible and with the lst's i had to raise the body.

If they are all you have you can make them work with some modding cut down the bodies springs and shafts. Ud you do the work there is very little that you can't make work.

i can only go by what i've read here at the forum for a long time but its big bores all the way....................

LSTs suck for bashing. I jumped my Savage 5 feet off of the ground and I bent 2 shafts in one shot. I would say Big Bores 100% for sure.

got to go with soulja.over rough terran lst's are a nitemare, almost to the point of uncontrolable.i've had my bb for bout 6 months, its a great upgrade.

Never ysed the LSTs, but i have the Big Bores and wouldn't trade them for anything else..Big Bores FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

is your savage royalty tugsan?

lol.
I built it up for racing. I got Muggy shocks, but my savage is too heavy and i want it lighter. I'm good with the handling of Muggy shocks, but i haven't tried Bigbores, so i don't know anything about it, but it looks great and light. According to ur replies i will get bigbores and get rid of muggy shocks.

Finally I sold my all LST and Muggy Shocks and IRC Mount Kits, and got the Big Bores. I installed them with the stock piston and Team Asso 40 wt oil, i haven't run it yet, but they look a bit stiffy...

i'm running big bores with 40wt and 1.6t and they are great..
did you try them with the 1.4 or 1.4t they will give more stiffness if not try 1.4 with 50wt should be very stiff
