some clubs have club transponders, but not all are lucky enough to have a full amb system with 24 club units to use, we even have clubs here in australia that are 2.4 radio's or no racing, saves time and the hastle of checking peoples radios and worst of ll people turning radios on knowing that some one else is racing at that tme....grrrrr

a 2.4 radio is something I need to get. I have droped hundreds of dollars into this savage but still haven't got a better radio than stock. Everyone at the track runs 2.4 except me so no worries about channels for me anyway.

Got my ext SHD axles in today. Very nice very long. Also got my 17mm hpi hex's the stock ones from a XL. Crap, Can't Hpi make some decent hex's oh well that is why I ordered better ones just have to wait a few weeks till the get here from Japan.

Just got the tires in today. Thanks Justin. RSC will be here midle of next week so we are getting close.

Okay the truck is spotless thanks the the wife. I have it put back together minus what I cant do till I get the RSC. Looking good guys.

I highly recommend the Futaba 3PM. Unless of course you wanted to get something with more memory and telemetry features. This radio only has 10 model memory but for me that is enough. It has tons of adjustments and can be run with standard or digi servos. When using the built in FS with standard servos in PPM mode you have to reset the FS each time the Rx is turned on but it is as simple as holding the brake and pressing one button, no big deal at all. If you have digi servos you can run in HRS mode and don't need to reset the FS. You can set it once and forget it. I picked mine up for $160 with Rx. To me the only reason to get more radio is if you want telemetry features but I looked at the Spektrum DX3s and the Rx it come with is not telemetry capable. So your paying twice as much for the radio as the 3PM then you have to buy a near $100 Rx that is telemetry capable and then you have to buy all the telemetry sensors. It looked like it was going to cost me about $500 to go 2.4 that way so I chose the 3PM. I'd rather spend the rest of that money on my savvy LOL.

the spektrum dx3s comes with 2 x rx one that has the sensors and telemetry and one rx that does not and its a lot less than $500 thats for sure....

OK, I read this "Includes free bonus SR300 3-channel DSM sport receiver" and misunderstood what it meant. I see under specs it says this: "Receiver: SR3300T and SR300". Thanks for clearing that up. I see the telemetry kit is only $15 so you could get it set up for under $300. I saw that $100 price tag on the SR3300T and thought that was in addition to the radio and sensors LOL. Also I read somewhere that the spektrum technology settles on one signal rather then cycling through every available channel like the Futaba FASST system. Is there any truth to that? If so, is this only with DSM? I see the DX3s says spread spectrum on it, what makes DSM2 different than DSM?

Thanks for clearing that DSM thing up for me pope. That kind of gives an edge to FASST system if your going with a less expensive radio. Good luck with the RSC! Man I'm jealous LOL.
