Well from my personal experience I've had 3, count em', 3 Hitec servos go out on me. Still haven't called Hitec to see if they will replace them.
Others swear by Hitec but based off of my experience I would stay clear of Hitec servos.
To the OP- I linked you to some very powerful servos. I use a HPI SF-2 for throttle and brake. It performs perfect. It locks up the brake is is plenty fast for me. I don't know why you want a digital servo, when there really isn't a need. From my experience throttle/brake performance is 70% how well your linkages are set up and 30% the actual servo itself. Obviously I just made up those percentages but you get my point. Unless I'm missing something, I say try your stock servos if you still have them. I've also used the HPI SF-1 and it still locks up my brakes, it's just a little "jumpier" ie. not as smooth operation.
