I have a Savage X RTR. I have 1 3/4 gallons through it, I had One bearing on both the front and rear diff's the bearing that supports the cups for the axle dog bones go bad, and the cup shafts have now wore the hole in the diff housing big and there is play there. It doesn't seem to matter that I changed the bearing, the play is in the diff case. Is this a common thing to happen so soon!!? I hope not! Doesn't seem right to keep having to replace diff case's.
I did bend a dog bone in the front but not the back.

I hope that I have explained this ok??

Thanks.
Kevin.

The bearing failure is pretty common, which prob caused the race where it sits in the bulkhead to fail (which is not very common).

id recommend replacing that bulk head caz any play in there can throw off your mesh & grenade your diff.

also, get rid of those bent/wobbly dog bonz; they may/may not have caused the bearing failure but it sure wont help at these high rpms.
