Tire Recommendation ?

i lost my bashing spot a couple weeks ago (i work for a site contractor and we completed the project) and don't have another good spot lined up yet. i've been running on about 75% asphalt 25% grass/dirt. my zombies are WAY too soft to run on asphalt that much. i have a set of road rages, but for even the little bit of off road i do right now they're dogs.

any recommendations for these conditions so i can swap out my zombies and save them for 100% off road ? (my stock tires got trashed trying to unglue them otherwise i'd just use those)

how do dirtclaws or badlands hold up on pavement ?

I just bought some badlands and I do not plan on having them touch any pavement. I don't know if they will hold up but I figure that the knobs on the tires will ware down quickly if you run on pavement.

Badlands are a lot stiffer then Zombies. I have 1 more set of Zombies to get and all my trucks will have them. I run a little here and there on the street and I didn't notice a huge amount of wear from it.

Zombies hook up on the pavement as Badlands will tend to spin which equals wear. but that is only one aspect.

I'm gonna recommend the proline bowties they grip on every surface. i drive mine on-road and off-road and they still have a ton of tread left on them.

What do you mean you fell for it? Zombies are the best tires with Proline Foams and Gorilla Taped on the inside.

idk, i did the gorilla tape & pro-line foams and my zombies don't really hook up well on grass or dirt if i give it any kind of throttle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5C6vURWeLDw

they seem to hook up better on asphalt (what doesnt) but all 4 tires will spin easily if i hammer it.

others i bash with seem to get good traction with badlands and excellent traction with mulchers.

I agree with frddy, stay away from Zombies. I have been running them for a few years now and am not impressed. I just picked up a set of badlands and can't wait to mount them on my maximizers. I say give them a try.

IDK, I think any tires are going to spin out in that powder.

i say HPI Dirt Bonz......ryugaiden and i have used ours on grass, asphalt, and any other damn surface you can think of and the Bonz seem to do it all. it's a friggin awesome tire and very cheap if you use HEBAY. if ryu reads this he will tell you the same thing. just make sure you gear for the lil bit of shorthess.....but you'll love em!

Agree with Soulja! Dirtbones are great. I even found out that 40 series with crime fighters in back and dirtbones in
Front does wonders for me on dirt! I can keep a line and ride it hard without any side swiping

badlands are pretty tough mine are holding up very well and i have ran them 50/50 asphalt /dirt and some snow as well they have about 75% tread left with about 3 1/2 gallons of abuse on them. i run them on 2 different trucks

i run dirt bonz on maximizer and i like how the grip good on any surface except really loose dirt.

Badlands aren't small nubbed tires. Look at a picture of them.
