XL engine plate

Is the Savage XL engine plate the exact same as the Savage X besides its color?

I think its a little thicker than the X

Edit: Yes the XL plate is 3mm and the X is 2.5

i tried it on my savy and it wont work because the screw head which connects the crankcase with the engine mount will get stuck with the tvp's and don't let you to Standardize the engine with the sup. gear as you want

it will work, I have used it before. You just need to use button head screws on the tvp side of the engine mount for the reason farmawi stated above.
