XL 3 speed gearbox

So my savage xl wouldn't go into 2nd gear, I took the gearbox apart following a how to video on YouTube, I adjusted the grubs screws as recommended, put it back together, put it back into the car.
Now, when I push it forwards, it seems fine, when I push it back, its cogging and sort of grinding, where have I gone wrong 🙄

take it back apart n double check the video n manual to start wiv maybe

I loosened off a grub screw, that's sorted it 👍🏼

Which grub screw you loosen ? It’s usually other way round ? Are you useing bit o locktite coz they can’t cause big damage wen vibrate there send out
