hey guys, I have an AXIAL .28 RR SPEC 1

I was wondering your opinions on running this engine with the stock hpi 25 pipe and filter. :dunno:

I do realize the difference in power with the tuned pipe and large airfilter

but, I was more concerned about any damage I may do useing this set up?

I'm useing my tuned pipe and lrg air cleaner on my hpi 4.6

whats your opinion should I switch the two pipe set ups. THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT.

most people on here would only recommend using a motor-saver air filter, on ANY motor...as to the pipe, I doubt that would damage the motor, but you will definately see a drop in power...

thank you komodo

come fellas 21 views and one opinion.

I can take it, tell how you really feel. JJ LOL

The standard HPI SS 4.6 is a very good air filter.
When it's clean, it has a heck of alot of surface area for low resistant air flow.IMO

I run the Motor Saver Filter definatly recommend it. If you check out ebay i know you could find the HPI Ribbed Pipe for $25-30

MOTOR SAVER AIR FILTER ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!

As for a pipe, depends......it wont cause any damage though.

dunno...it's the one everyone recommends (several moderators, and many members) maybe it's because it's a 3-stage filter...

I'm using the hpi filter for the 4.6 on my sts and don't have any problems with it. As for exhaust, I couldn't tell ya. i guess it's just a matter of personal preference.
