Won't apply power at full throttle

Savage XL, just got it started for the first time in a while and I noticed that at kow power it would give power fine, but when I increased the throttle past about 1/2 or 3/4 of the way it would rev up really high and stop applying power. The engine sounds fine other than the fact that its not quite perfectly tuned yet. I took it apart and found that the motor mount was loose and that one of the bearings was destroyed, so I figured it must have been the pinion moving away from the spur. But when I fixed those problems, it still revved too high and stopped applying power. Is this a drivetrain issue? Clutch? Transmission?
Any help is appreciated.

I would say to check the clutch for either being loose or the pad being worn out.... when I set my clutch I run the adjuster fully tight and with an axial .32 it seems to be fine...

Check the slipper clutch, it may be too loose. Tighten all the way then back off 1/4-1/2 turn. Book says 1/2, but I find 1/4 works best.
If not slipper clutch, then main centrifugal clutch shoes may need replacing.

Cheers.
