Going through my racer and upgrading over the winter. So far a have taken out the midtank and I'm redoing it. I had an OFNA 145cc tank and I'm stepping up to a 250cc one. New Acer Racing bearing kit, Pro Line Mulchers on Warlock rims, RPM radio box, Integy's Ultimate Braking System and HPI wheely bar so far. New 250cc tank, body, wing, Lunsford goodies and more still on the way. Here is a pic of what I have so far......

Looks good buddy. I also have a start on the mid-tank plate for you. I just need to get to the LHS and get measurments of the 250 tank so I can add the holes for the tank in the plate and can get the right spacers to support the tank.

My tank will be here in a couple days, maybe tomorrow even. I can take measurments for you if you would like.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Oregon- if you can get good accurate measurements I would appreciat it. Basicly all I need is the tank hight to the mount hole and then the distance the mount holes are from the edge and an over all tank dimensions and then some real good dimensions of the mounting holes like in the X and Y axis.

I have the 250cc tank on the way too. The hellfire tank just wasn't doing it for me plus I drive with LST2s and having shorter run time is a :nono:.

Nice dude, looking good! The next thing that I'm buying is FLM Extended chassis and midtank 🙂

Thanks for the replies fellas! And they are Losi Aftershock shocks, they are the same size as the LSTs just plastic and lighter.
Got my tank in today. What a huge difference in size

Its going to look great! Steering servo is relocated. Its all set up and nothing is binding.

I had a little problem with the servo hitting the braces for the skid plate but my Dremil made quick work of making more room for it.

As for the measurments Larsenracing. I'm not even sure what those last 2 measurments would be exactly. LOL But the stock OFNA Eliminator tank mounts are the proper heighth.

Thanks for the replies fellas. And yes, those are the FLM TVPs. They are great. I realy like them. I'm actualy debating on putting those on my basher and getting a set of CF TVPs for my race truck. Just to lighten the truck, not because they arent good for racing.

Hey man I got my kit pretty much finnished up. I haven't got anything cut but could if you need one before long. Sorry its taken me so long but this is a second job and I'm very busy at my regular job lately. I also got a set of standard length TVP's done just need some measurments of the FLM standard length skid plate. Anyhow let me know bud.

I got my tank plate today. It beautiful! To say the least. Thick as heck too. It will hold up well. I got my new pipe and engine ordered the other day. They will be here soon and I can start getting her broken in for the race season.
Here is some pics of the cool tank plate custom made by Larsenracing. Looks (and fits) killer buddy!!!!

I usualy drill the hole a little bigger on the manifold to add a second spring, but I didnt have to with this pipe. It cae with an extra set of holes. This pipe is solid as ..... well you know.

Well I think I will be getting a new body and wing and that will be it on the Savage. I need to do some stuff to the new Firestorm and I need to blow some money on spare parts for it for the beginning of the season. I will cave a custom painted body. IDK who by yet, my girl wants to try, but I don't want purple hearts on it or anything like that. And just to answer it before its asked. Yes, the MRN is super glued and gasketed in. Cant have it moving around on me in the middle of a race again. Great engine but I hate the MRN. If you cant touch it why is it there? lol

Yea I will never go back to couplers 1 piece is the way to go

Good looking rig man.. also a great looking mid tank mod .. wanna build me one ? lol very clean

I would love to SJ. I have enjoyed building and than re-doing this truck so much. I had such a fun year racing it. I cant wait to get back out there next month when it starts back up.
Electric 1:10 is still racing. But its electric!!! I miss all the nitro engines roaring around the track.
(I just gave myself goosbumps)
I love this hobby!!!!

I thought I was done but this thing had another little surprise. The most babied servo in my collection ( T/B for the racer) decided to take a dump on me. So mailed it off to Hitec and figured I would upgrade to a faster digital and save the 645 for a spare when I get it back.
Still went with a Hitec but got a coreless digital this time. Its the HS 965MG. Much faster than the 645. I never had it turned up past 50% anyway, so this one will be perfect. Lightning fast compared to the 645 and 5645, I'm very happy.

SPECS: Wire color codes: Black-Ground Red-Power Yellow-Signal
Operating speed: 0.13 sec @ 60 at 4.8V
Torque: 102.76 oz-in (7.4 kg-cm)
Weight: 2.18oz (62g)
Length: 1.6 (40mm)
Width: 0.78 (20mm)
Height: 1.45 (37mm)
Wire length: 12 (305mm) approximate

And here it is installed......

What pipe is that?

I really like the Hot Bodies pipes. I am very impressed with the looks and performance I get from them. The quality of the HB pipes is also very good.
