Will it fit in the savage stock location (steering)

says it is 10% bigger than a standard servo so i bet you will have to mod the mounts some...

I would never pay $165 for steering servo for my savage.....haha.

found a cheaper subsitute should be able to sling those mud slingers around pretty easy.

It's probably taller from the flange to the bottom or the flange to the top. A Savox servo I put in my revo said the same thing, but bolted right in. Check the measurements of your servo and compare to what's listed for that.

That said, 500oz/in would be severe overkill for a savage... you could put 1:1 tires on that thing and turn them! 200oz would be plenty.

Lol...yeah probably it is bigger I found the servo that I have in my nitro and compared the size I don't think it would it's bigger in all dimensions.....I like to over kill sometimes lol. Got this one instead

I use this one in my revo as a single steering servo:

Causes mild brownouts then I got a cap which helped a lot. Has enough torque to overpower the traxxas HD servo saver spring if you hold the front tires.
