will bashing screw with tuning?

just wondering, my Savage X isnt running quite like when i got it first tuned.
it will still wheelie and such, but it seems to stall all the time.
hardly wants to idle.

will bashing cause tuning to go out?
or am i just needing a new glow plug?
i know my pressure line was cut a few times so its a little short, maybe its just not pressuring the tank proper.

ah ya that was my first hunch.
thought id ask see if what others would say.
its still the same plug from break in, so I'm sure it needs to be replaced.
also, for air filters.
i am still using the stock hpi air filter, just wondering, after i clean it, can i use my K&N air filter oil that is used for the car.
not sure if its ok for these engines, but i figure it shouldnt do harm.
but also wanted to see what you guys think.

I use K&N but I clean them only once and get new ones. That's just my way, you should be able to use the same filters many times, just check for dirt working it's way into the inner filter. Change the glow plug as it runs rich for break in, fuild does not compress so it tends to mess up the first glow plug. If you haven't touched your tune for a while, it would be good to check and tune it again.

well i got it only two weeks ago or so.
i paid the exta bucks so the LHS set it up properly.
so I'm sure its just the glow plug.
I'm almost through my first gallon, so could very well be the plug.

Dang, my LHS helped for free! Talk about customer service. Get a new plug and read the manual on tuning several times. I read it and read it for a couple days and then started tuning myself. It can be confusing at first but don't let it scare you. It's easy once you grasp it. Good luck.

yah, my first RC was a redcat racing little 1/10 buggy.
not sure if i tuned it correct at all.
plus i don't have a temp gauge, so i cant tell when its running at optimum.
but ya if read the manual i might be able to grasp it.

Get a temp gun, just don't rely on it. Use it just to make sure you're not overtemping, and make sure you got smoke. Smoke is your engines best friend!
