Hey guys, the steering servo on my savage burnt out so i bought a new one, its a hi-tech that i know is strong enough, but with the steering senseativity all-the-way up it barely turns, when its in the grass it turns normal. Could there be berrings or something that are bad thats making this so inconsistent. not even sre where to start. Thanks

if you didnt buy a hitec servo saver.. it will do it also. hitec tops are larger than the futaba style. make sure it fits good and some savers come with the bushing to put in it to fit either futaba or hitec. i can almost guarantee that is your problem because it is slipping. let me know!!! i have done this once or twice an forgot it was bigger!!

I have the same issue before and I am currently running the 645mg servo. Check to see if the four screws that hold the steering assembly are not TOO tight. The battery box has 2 humps on the bottom of it that the steering post come into contact with the steering post. If the screws that come through the battery box are too tight you might have made a impression of the steering post in the battery box causing it to bind up.

If its not damaged too much you can shave the box with a razor blade which is what I had to do and is working perfectly. If it is not fixable then you will have to replace the box. You can pick them up cheap on ebay.
