Crazy!! I watched that vid on youtube a few days ago, they could have picked a guy without such a boring voice tho, if it wasnt for the excitement of the flux i coulda fallen asleep listening to him, makes us english seem so boring lol
 
wow thats insane. I almost want to trade my gear in for a flux. something about the nitro engine keeps me in line though
 
i foresee brushless as the reigning champ in a couple years.

a year or two from now & peeps gonna be saying "remember when peeps used to use nitro?"
 
ya i hate to agree with u but i can see nitro trucks being a thing of the past with all the pollution control and stuff and now the electrics are faster and easier to maintain!! i hope not but wouldnt surprise me...
 
yep i love nitro, but it cant compete with the raw power of brushless.

its nothing till you see it in person.
 
I think brushless is great,i"ve got a 1/18 losi and its alot of fun. but, imo.. nitro gives me a sence of connection ...the feel..the smell, the rev of the motor, until i can get the same, raw satisfation out of elec, i'm sticking to nitro..... yea ,elec is loads faster,but , i guess to me ,speed is just part of the package, i want it all, or i'm out..peace

see i agree. i can see peeps that are into the nitro having a bit of each, but can see many more than us buying brushless & droppin in a battery. Not worry about tuning, the rite fuel, the rite pipe/mill combo, glow plugs clutches, etc. plus the neighbors less likely to complain caz of no noize.

i will always have my nitro, but i gotta get me some of this brushless too. its mad.
 
for me nitro rc just seems more "real" like working on my camaro sorta and its a great feeling when you tinker with it and get her running "just right" which you don't get with electric as much speed isnt really a concern for me I'm just out to have fun not break the sound barrier lol but this brushless craze is really taking off though...
 
I like rc cars to sound like cars, not cordless drills lol sure electric/brushless is faster and more power etc, but its not the same as cracking open a bottle of nitro, filling that tank and starting it up, hearing the roar of the engine and so on, the tuning, getting your setup right how you want it etc is maybe 70% of the fun to me, i do think theres a place in my future model collection for a brushless RC, but i will stick with nitro for as long as they make it.
 
Insane video! But I won't not give up my nitro, just like everone else said "there is more of a connection". I'm not in it for the speed, just out to have a good time. I've had electric and the feeling just isn't there. Kinda off topic but its kind of like my lawn equipment, I would never trade in my gas mower and weedeater for electric, just would't be right to me.
Don't get me wrong I'm not downing anyone with electric rides, it's just not my cup of tea.
 
i will agree the flux is insane but I'm not about to start driving a prius anytime soon so ill stick to nitro

You know, I don't think brushless is gonna take over the world, or even the hobby. I think that brushless is just upping the game...it's taken electrics from being mainly toys, to being serious competitors. And the companies that make nitro motors will bring their game up to match, given development time. But it's still all about how you drive em...
